This project reimagines Manchester's historic passageways, such as those behind the Corn Exchange or along the Shambles, as intimate stages. We’ll create a 15-minute looping performance that blends expressive movement, monologue, and live illustration. The audience follows the performer through a narrative of the city’s industrial past and digital future, using chalk drawings on the cobbles as scenery. The unique element is the fusion of live theatre with street art—the illustrator will create evolving backdrops in real-time, which the performer responds to physically. This transient art form leverages the current trend of immersive, location-based experiences and creates shareable, Instagram-worthy moments. The piece will be filmed from multiple angles for a high-quality documentation reel that can be used as a portfolio piece or festival submission.
