Severn Sessions is a collaborative music project that captures the sonic identity of Bewdley. Over four weeks, a small team will compose, record, and film three original tracks inspired by the town's landmarks—the Severn Valley Railway, Wyre Forest, and the Georgian riverside. Each track will layer traditional folk instruments with environmental sounds (steam trains, river currents, birdsong) to create an immersive listening experience. The project culminates in a live-streamed performance from a unique Bewdley location and a short documentary-style music film. This project is perfect for a director-writer with film skills to lead, collaborating with local musicians. It leverages the trend of 'slow media' and hyper-local storytelling, producing portfolio-worthy content that resonates with both residents and visitors.
