Project Brief

This project celebrates Manchester's independent fashion scene by challenging a small team to create a 3-minute fashion film that follows five local models as they curate outfits from Manchester's charity shops and vintage stores. The film will blend documentary-style interviews with high-energy runway walks set against the Northern Quarter's iconic street art, Afflecks Palace, and the canal-side industrial backdrops. The concept is rooted in sustainability and self-expression, tapping into the current 'thrift flip' and 'wear what you own' trends while showcasing Manchester's unique style DNA. The final piece will be a visually striking, socially shareable film that doubles as a portfolio centrepiece for all involved, from the models to the stylist and director.
