This project is a 3-week creative campaign and live event series that bridges the cultural gap between Hull and London. We will curate a pop-up 'Northern Takeover' experience in both cities, featuring local artists, interactive installations, and a live-streamed finale that connects the two audiences in real-time. The concept celebrates Hull's rich maritime history and its recent City of Culture status, while leveraging London's status as a global creative hub. The events will be designed to be Instagram-worthy, with a focus on immersive storytelling and community engagement. The first event takes place in Hull's historic Fruit Market, transformed into a 'Northern Arcade' with games, music, and street food. The second event, in London's Shoreditch, will be a 'Southern Soiree' with a similar vibe but a cosmopolitan twist. The climax is a simultaneous live-streamed performance and interactive Q&A between the two venues, facilitated by a host/MC. This project is unique because it creates a tangible connection between two distinct British cultures, offering a fresh narrative for audiences and brands alike. It's designed to be captured by content creators and shared across social platforms, generating buzz and showcasing the talent's versatility in event management, marketing, and content creation.
