Drawing inspiration from Manchester's rich industrial heritage—its cotton mills, canals, and pioneering spirit—the artworks will reimagine the past through a contemporary, neon-infused lens. The result will be a self-guided walking tour that blends gritty urban textures with bold, futuristic aesthetics, turning the city's hidden corners into a must-see cultural destination. What makes this project unique is its fusion of heritage and modernity, using augmented reality (AR) triggers to bring murals to life. Visitors can scan the artworks with their phones to see animated layers, historical overlays, and artist commentary, creating an engaging, tech-forward experience. The project will culminate in a public launch event with live painting, music, and an AR scavenger hunt, generating buzz on social media and positioning the artists at the forefront of Manchester's creative scene.
