Launch on Day 22
This project creates a series of five short, powerful monologues performed at iconic and hidden locations along the River Thames, tracing its journey from the heart of London into the serene landscapes of Surrey. Each monologue features a distinct character whose internal state mirrors the environment—a frantic city trader at Canary Wharf, a reflective artist at Richmond Lock, a grieving widow by the Thames Path in Surrey, a hopeful immigrant at Tower Bridge, and a climate activist at the river's edge in Runnymede. The concept merges hyper-local storytelling with digital performance, capturing not just the actor's work but the living, breathing backdrop of the Thames as a character itself. What makes this unique is its 'geo-emotional' approach—each performance is specifically written for and responsive to its exact location, creating an authentic dialogue between performer and place that can't be replicated elsewhere. The final product will be edited into a cohesive digital series with cinematic quality, suitable for festival submissions and digital platforms.
