This project reimagines Malta's historic capital Valletta as a living runway, blending intricate baroque details (gold-leafed balconies, limestone facades, ornate churches) with modern street-style silhouettes. The concept explores how heritage can influence current fashion trends—using local artisans' textiles, traditional lacework (bizzilla), and the stark contrast of Mdina's silent streets against bold, colorful garments. The shoot will take place over two days across three key locations: the Upper Barrakka Gardens, the St. John's Co-Cathedral steps, and the abandoned Fort Ricasoli. The output will be a 12-look editorial series (photo and short video) that feels both timeless and trend-forward, leveraging the 'Old Meets New' aesthetic popular on Instagram and TikTok. The team will work with a local Maltese fashion designer to source one-of-a-kind pieces, and the final deliverables will be optimized for both print-style portfolios and social media carousels.
