This project will create a temporary, immersive pop-up experience that physically and metaphorically connects the cities of Hull and London. The concept is a 'living map' – a 20-foot interactive table featuring a stylized route from The Deep in Hull to the Thames Barrier in London. Participants will begin their journey by receiving a 'boarding pass' in Hull, then travel through themed zones representing key locations (e.g., a 'Humber mist' fog room, a 'Lincolnshire Wolds' soundscape, a 'King's Cross' networking hub) before 'arriving' in a London-inspired finale with a live DJ and projection mapping. The event will be held simultaneously as a ticketed pop-up in both cities, with a live video link connecting the two audiences. This leverages the trend of 'phygital' experiences and local pride, creating shareable, Instagrammable moments that celebrate regional identity and connection. The final output will be a high-quality event video and a photo series that can be used as a portfolio piece for all involved.
