This project transforms Manchester's overlooked spaces into temporary theatres of memory. We'll create an intimate, site-specific performance where a single actor brings to life the forgotten voices of Manchester's industrial past—mill workers, canal boaters, market traders—while an illustrator creates live, projected visual responses to the narrative. The performance will move between three hidden Manchester locations in a single evening, with audiences following the journey. What makes this unique is the real-time fusion of live acting and digital illustration, creating a dynamic visual narrative that evolves with each performance. We'll leverage Manchester's rich industrial heritage while addressing contemporary themes of urban change and collective memory. The project will be documented as a short film and photo series, creating both an ephemeral live experience and lasting digital portfolio pieces.
