Silk & Circuits is a 5-7 minute experimental short film that juxtaposes the ancient craft of silk weaving in Bengaluru's older neighborhoods with the city's burgeoning tech and startup culture. The film will follow a single silk thread—from the hands of a weaver in Chickpet to a circuit board in a sleek innovation lab in Whitefield—using macro cinematography, time-lapse, and a layered soundscape. The creative vision is to highlight the parallel rhythms of handloom and code, celebrating Bengaluru's unique identity as a city where heritage and modernity coexist. The project is unique because it merges documentary authenticity with artistic abstraction, creating a piece that is both a visual feast and a thoughtful commentary on the city's evolution.
