This project creates a music video for an original indie pop track that fuses London’s urban grit with Malta’s coastal beauty. The concept follows a young musician’s journey from a bustling London street market to the serene shores of Sliema, exploring themes of displacement and belonging. Unique to Malta, the video will feature the iconic Sliema promenade, the silent ruins of the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum (recreated via set design), and the azure waters of St. Peter’s Pool. In London, use Borough Market and the graffiti tunnels of Leake Street to contrast the island’s tranquility. The project leverages the current trend of ‘liminal space’ visuals and Gen Z’s nostalgia for coastal escapes. By merging these two distinct locations, it creates a visual metaphor for modern creative life—split between fast-paced urban demands and a yearning for slow living. The final output will be a 3-minute music video tailored for TikTok and YouTube, with vertical and horizontal cuts. The team will include a director, a DOP, a choreographer/stylist, a location scout, and a sound designer. What makes this project unique is its dual-location shoot within a tight timeframe, requiring seamless logistical coordination between London and Malta.
