This project captures the soul of Ilorin—a city where the earthy scent of clay and the rhythm of the potter's wheel have shaped identity for centuries. We follow three young artisans in the historic Okelele neighborhood as they blend ancestral techniques with modern design, creating functional art that speaks to both heritage and contemporary life. The film will juxtapose the raw, tactile process of molding clay with the vibrant energy of Ilorin's markets, the calm of the University of Ilorin's botanical gardens, and the echoes of the Emir's Palace. What makes this unique is its focus on the quiet revolution happening in these small workshops, where tradition isn't preserved in amber but allowed to evolve. The edit will weave intimate close-ups of hands in clay with sweeping drone shots of the city's red-roofed skyline, creating a rhythmic, meditative visual poem.
