Thames Pulse is a groundbreaking site-specific dance performance that takes place on a floating stageβa boat navigating the River Thames. The performance weaves together contemporary dance, live electronic music, and spoken word, reflecting the diverse cultures and dynamic energy of London. Dancers will interact with the ever-changing backdrop of London's iconic skyline, from the Houses of Parliament to the O2 Arena, creating a moving postcard of the city. The project aims to capture the essence of London as a living, breathing organism. Each performance segment will be choreographed to respond to specific landmarks and the natural rhythm of the river, with projections onto sails and the water itself. The audience will experience the performance from the riverbanks at key locations, as well as through a live-streamed, multi-camera broadcast. This fusion of live performance and digital capture makes it both a visceral experience for those present and an accessible artwork for global audiences. What makes Thames Pulse unique is its integration of the city's infrastructure into the art itself. The boat's movement, the tides, and the ambient sounds of London become part of the score.
