This project is a visually striking short film set against the iconic South Bank of London. We follow a disillusioned detective, played by a local actor, as he navigates the neon-lit, rain-slicked streets between the London Eye and Tate Modern. The narrative is a fragmented mystery, told through his encounters with a sultry model and a cryptic street performer, blurring reality and memory. The project leverages the unique, cinematic architecture of the South Bank at night, capturing its reflective surfaces, brutalist concrete, and the constant flow of the Thames. The film will be shot in black and white, with selective color applied to neon signs and key props, creating a moody, graphic novel aesthetic. The team will consist of a director, a model (also acting), a musician for the original noir-infused soundtrack, a director of photography, and a content creator to capture behind-the-scenes for social media. The project is designed to be a portfolio piece for all involved, showcasing their ability to create atmosphere, tell a compelling story with limited dialogue, and work collaboratively under tight constraints. The final film will be roughly 5-7 minutes long, optimized for online distribution on platforms like Vimeo and Instagram Reels.
