We'll collaborate with local Adire artisans to create modern interpretations of traditional patterns, then photograph these designs against the backdrop of Ilorin's historic landmarks including the Emir's Palace and Oja Oba market. The collection will showcase how traditional Yoruba textile art can be reimagined for modern urban wear while honoring Ilorin's unique position as a center of Islamic learning and royal tradition. The project's uniqueness lies in its authentic local collaboration - working directly with Ilorin's Adire makers to create exclusive pieces, then presenting them through high-fashion photography that highlights both the garments and the city's architectural heritage. We'll capture the 'new Ilorin' - young creatives embracing their cultural roots while pushing fashion boundaries.
