Sounds of the City transforms Manchester's historic canal network into a moving live music venue. Over three evenings, audiences will follow a curated trail starting at Castlefield Basin, moving through Deansgate Locks, and ending at the Rochdale Canal in the Northern Quarter. At each stop, they'll experience intimate 20-minute performances by local artists, from acoustic sets in a narrowboat to electronic sets under a railway arch. The project aims to celebrate Manchester's musical heritage while showcasing its contemporary talent, creating a unique, walkable festival experience.
