This project is a visual exploration of the unique tension and harmony between London's bustling urban core and the serene, protected landscapes of Surrey's Green Belt. We will create a series of 8-10 conceptual photographs and a short accompanying zine that documents the transition from city to countryside, focusing on the liminal spaces where the built environment meets ancient woodlands and rolling hills. The concept draws on the current trend of 'slow looking' and a renewed appreciation for local natural beauty, highlighted by the pandemic's shift towards outdoor living. The final images will blend elements of environmental portraiture with abstract landscapes, using a muted, earthy color palette and soft natural light to evoke a sense of quiet reflection. The project is designed to be showcased at a local gallery or as an online portfolio piece, demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of place and narrative.
