Our protagonist, a digital-native photographer, stumbles upon an antique plate camera in a charity shop, which inexplicably develops images from the devastating 1886 flood. As he delves into local archives, he uncovers a forgotten story of a young girl who perished that night, and her spirit seems to be reaching through time, guiding him to a final, unresolved act of kindness. This project leverages Bewdley's rich, cinematic scenery—the 18th-century Georgian bridge, the medieval St. Anne's Church, and the winding Severn—to create a visually poetic dialogue between centuries. Using a mix of contemporary digital footage and vintage-style 19th-century imagery (achieved with grainy filters, sepia tones, and period costumes), we'll craft a deeply atmospheric and emotionally resonant story that showcases local heritage while embracing modern narrative trends in 'elevated horror' and 'slow-burn mystery'. Uniquely, this film will be a collaborative effort with the Bewdley Museum and local historians, integrating authentic archival details into the narrative.
